With Yared Zeleke's Lamb and Apichatpong Weerasethakul's Cemetery of Splendour in the Un Certain Regard selection, Sørfond has every reason to celebrate. Sørfond grants contributions to film productions whose main produces is based in countries on the current OECD Dac list, and is administered by the Films From the South Foundation in co-operation with the Norwegian Film Institute.
7 projects were supported in 2015: Amat Escalante (Méxcio), Myroslav Slaboshpytskiy (Ukraine), Kaouther Ben Hania (Tunisia), Pen-Ek Ratanaruang (Thailand), Gustavo Rondón (Venezuela), Barbara Politsch (Philippines) and Pankaj Johar (India).
Lamb and Cemetery of Splendour are co-produced by Norwegian partners Film Farms and Tordenfilm respectively.
